Esports organisation Natus Vincere (or Na'Vi) has announced that player Roman "rmN-" Paley has parted ways with their Dota 2 team, and Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev will replace him in that position, a player who has previously played for Na'Vi in the past, although he has most recently played for Vega Squadron.

It's unclear why this decision was made, although the announcement did mention that rmN- played in the qualifiers for the Dota 2 Asia Championship and Kiev Major, two competitions in which Na'Vi didn't qualify for the LANs.

Moving forward, Na'Vi says that the squad will train in a "long bootcamp" in Kiev, practicing for the qualifiers of Epicenter 2017 and The Summit 7, "both events being very important for the team." The first match this new roster will compete in will be today at the StarLadder i-League Invitational 2, where they will play Russian team Effect.

Yevhen "HarisPilton" Zolotarov, Natus Vincere's CEO, commented on the roster changes, saying: "We wouldn't make changes in our roster on the eve of a key bootcamp and important qualifiers if it weren't for SoNNeikO. We are perfectly aware of Akbar's potential and we just couldn't lose the opportunity to work with him again."

"I am grateful to the guys for their trust. I am sure that together we'll achieve the success," SoNNeikO himself added.

Do you think bringing SoNNeikO back was the right choice?
