Astralis wins the ECS Season 2

They got their revenge on OpTic Gaming after Eleague.

HQ

After a season of intense action, Astralis were the team who took home the championships at the grand finals of ECS Season 2, a week after a disappointing defeat in the Eleague at the hands of OpTic Gaming.

Astralis faced OpTic yet again in the final, but here they were much more deadly, winning 16-6 on Overpass and 16-11 on Train, clinching the title. Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth put in a solid performance throughout, and his clinical accuracy no doubt helped the team to victory.

ECS posted a short video on Twitter showing the Danish team lifting the trophy, and there are plenty more highlights elsewhere on their Twitter.

Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz tweeted, saying: "I hope that our story can inspire others just as they've inspired me throughout the year. 2016 hasn't been a fairytale story, hard work wins."

Do you think Astralis can continue this success into 2017?
