Astralis takes the first game at DreamHack Summer

Strong performance from the Danish team kicks things off in Jönköping.

HQ

Astralis beat Ence Esports in the opening match of the DreamHack Summer CS:GO tournament. The Danish team started off firmly in control, taking the first 9 rounds without letting the Finns into the game.

Ence had been adjusting throughout, and in the tenth round that finally paid off. Several clutch plays put the Finns on the board and put dents in Astralis' economy. They carried that momentum all the way to halftime, with a score of 9-6 in Astralis' favour as they moved to the Counter-Terrorist.

The half-time break put Astralis back on track, as they took the second pistol round and the two following rounds, with Kjaerbye in particular going off and getting triple kills in two of the rounds.

Astralis put the game at match point without letting Ence get a single round in the second half, with an AWP duel between dev1ce and allu being the closest they got. Dev1ce got the better end of that duel, and after a quick round at match point, Astralis took the win, 16-6.
