Eleague has announced that it will host its second CS:GO Major in two years, as the Eleague Major: Boston will be hosted between January 26 and 28 next year, pitting more of the top talent in the scene against one another.

The early stages of the competition, including the qualifier from January 12 to 15 and group stage from January 19 to 22, will be held at Turner Studios in Atlanta, with digital coverage being broadcast over channels like YouTube, Eleague's site, and Twitch.

After that, 16 of the best teams in the world will compete for the title and their slice of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool, featuring the top eight finishers from the previous major, PGL, as legend teams. These are Gambit Esports, Astralis, Immortals, Virtus.pro, Fnatic, BIG, SK Gaming, and North, and the bottom eight teams from the PGL Major will compete for eight challenger berths. Minor championships will determine the eight teams (two each from Asia, Europe, CIS, and Americas) to round off the qualifier, with these Minors beginning this month in Asia and CIS regions.

"We're looking forward to hosting our second Eleague Major in back-to-back years and bringing a CS:GO championship to Boston for the first time," said Craig Barry, Chief Content Officer, Turner Sports. "Following the record-setting engagement during last year's Eleague Major, we appreciate Valve's ongoing trust in us and all of the continued support from the esports community."
