CWL New Orleans is nearly upon us, the first event in 2018 for the Call of Duty World League, and we now know the top 16 teams that will be in pool play for the event, including 10 North American sides, five EU teams, and one from APAC, all of which have been determined by pro points.
The top seed goes to Team Kaliber, who have claimed victory at CWL Dallas and one of the North American 2K tournaments as well, and these are followed by OpTic Gaming and Luminosity, who won the Northern Arena Showdown. Following these three are eUnited, FaZe Clan, Team EnVy, and Rise Nation respectively, the latter of which claimed victory in the most recent NA 2K tournament. Echo Fox, Ground Zero, and Enigma6 round off the last three places in North America.
From EU the top seed goes to Splyce, with Red Reserve coming in behind them, as well as Team Vitality, Unilad, and Epsilon Esports in that order. Mindfreak rounds off the 16 as the only APAC team in there, and all of these teams will be divided into four groups tomorrow, the top three seeded NA teams going into different groups, with the top seeded EU team going into the fourth.
CWL New Orleans starts on January 12. Who will take the trophy?
