Winners of reality show Gamerz won't get their prize

Not the best of news ahead of the second season premiering next week.

Dotesports report that the winners of the first season of the esports reality show Gamerz won't receive their promised pro contracts.

The CEO of organiser Gamingzone Karl Mikael Cakste told French esports site Flickshot they had "naively underestimated the challenges that is associated with running a professional team". The winners have instead been offered 100,000 SEK (about £8,800 or €9,800), but that has reportedly yet to be paid in full.

The second season of Gamerz is set to premiere exclusively on Mixer on March 5, but there's no mention of pro contracts for the winners this time.
