Gucci Gang wins Splatoon European Championships

German team wins in Switzerland, will represent the continent in June.

German outfit Gucci Gang emerged as the winners of the Splatoon European Championships this weekend, taking the title in a special event in Switzerland thanks to a 2-0 victory against El Firmament in the grand final. The team will now represent Europe in the World Championships which are due to take place in LA between June 11 - 12 and will feature teams from Japan, North America, and Australia/New Zealand.

All in all, it sounds like it was a fun event, and there was even a crowd-pleasing show for fans where Pearl and Marina, Splatoon's own pop duo Off the Hook, performed some songs to entertain the crowd. The final itself was a competitive spectacle between two teams which both impressed during the weekend, and you can watch it here if you want to see two top teams in action.
