As reported by Dot Esports, Mexican football team Club América has announced that it is heading into the world of esports, becoming the first Mexican sports team to do so.
The Twitter announcement didn't give too many details, but if they're following the trend of clubs like PSG Esports and Schalke, it may well be FIFA before moving into other mainstream esports like League of Legends. Considering their big stadium and presence in the capital, Mexico City, though, it shouldn't be hard to garner attention and popularity.
