While Fnatic may have struggled for form a little bit in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), one would still consider them and G2 Esports as two of the top European teams, which is why comments made by Fnatic player Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson have surprised people.
He recently said on his stream (as shared by Twiddli and reported by Dot Esports) that the pair don't scrim each other, answering a fan's question by saying:
"I don't know how good G2 is because we don't scrim them ever. Never had, probably never will."
Rekkles didn't go into details about why this was, perhaps because there are reasons he isn't allowed to disclose, but it's certainly interesting given the success of both of those two teams and the fact they're always talked about together when discussing European giants.
